ABOUT: WHAT DO WE DO FOR OUR CLIENTS?
A breif history: Abe Landes has been working in the DMV since 2011 as an event photographer (and yes, it is me writing this summary), working with foundations involved with conservation, immigration, housing, human rights, agriculture, and civil rights.
I created Du Col Portraits in 2023 as a way to better understand and serve clients in the corporate, government, and non-profit foundation world.
From Abram 'Abe' Landes: To every session, I bring exceptional team members, fast delivery, creative problem-solving, and a drive to provide the best imagery. I work to make every event and interaction positive and momentum-generating for our clients.
As a team, we judge our success by our clients’ success in hitting attendance goals for future events, exceding common standards for production photography (like delivery times and tight editing techniques), and remarks by attendees:
“Your photography team was exceptional: we knew where to look and they helped us pose. You made it all easy. Thank you!”
It’s easy to make great photographs, but it’s another thing to make people feel great in the moment.
Within a close network of professional event planners and foundation members, there is an incredible breadth of events happening in Washington, DC. From small retreats to international musical acts to thousands of people cheering at a downtown DC charity 5k: there’s no shortage of fun and engaging events that planners have dreamt up.
Large conferences, office-wide headshots, corporate meetings/awards, and community building events are all in our wheelhouse.
It's been a pleasure to play the part of photographer, to organize the best media team for the occasion at hand, and to share the excitement of these excellent events through photographs.
With all that said: let’s talk about your event and make it happen!

It’s all in the name… Du Col translated from French into English means ‘of the (mountain) pass’, which reflects my commitment to help clients to new horizons in their work and careers. And it’s a subtle callback to my admiration of the perserverance of cyclists summiting the French Alps in tours and competitions. Let’s go!
